Six Sisters Beadworks creates USA-made heirloom quality fine jewelry that builds multigenerational family
connections. Think of each birthstone, name, initial, gem, and pearl as a leaf on your family tree—highlighting
the unique features of each individual while establishing a sense of belonging. Each piece tells a story,
and each is made to last for years to come. With great attention to detail and a serious passion for
excellence, I design each necklace, bracelet, earring, and ring with care from my home studio in the
Pacific Northwest.
My admiration for jewelry with unique details such as birthstones grew out of a conversation with
my grandmother when I was young. I remember how delighted she was to receive a birthstone ring—it
featured one stone for each of her three sons and one for her husband. She loved to share the stories
behind each stone, which month they symbolized and the special person they represented. As time passed,
their significance grew.
Years later, in search of legacy pieces for my six young daughters I struggled to find jewelry at a
quality that could match the meaning behind it. Even jewelry that looked high-end would break quickly
and easily. In 2006, with a desire to gift memorable keepsakes to my children just like the piece my
grandma loved, I launched Six Sisters Beadworks.
Over the years I’ve created quality, meaningful heirlooms for each of my ten (yes, ten!)
children—many of them making their way into the collections you see here. It’s how I remind
them that they all have their own stories, their own leaves on our tree… and that all of our
leaves grow from the same roots.
