Materials

Our Quality Promise
It is important to us that you have a quality item that will last for years to come, therefore Six Sisters Beadworks' jewelry is crafted with only the finest materials.

Solid .925 Sterling Silver
Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, the copper is added to give the silver strength, as silver by itself is too maleable and does not hold up well to wear.
We also use fine .999 Sterling Silver in some select pieces which is even more pure that the .925 Sterling.  Both are of the highest quality in terms of both beauty and strength.  This is the metal that we use most in our jewelry designs, we never use lesser quality plated materials.

Antique Silver
Antique Silver is lead free pewter dipped in Sterling Silver.
Used in only a few of our designs and labeled appropriately in the descriptions.

Gold Vermeil
Gold Vermeil is Sterling Silver dipped in 14K Gold producing a piece that looks and feels like pure gold.

14K Gold Filled
Gold-filled items have been layered with 14K gold that is mechanically bonded with heat and pressure to a base of brass. Gold-filled products are of exceptional quality and are resistant to tarnish and fading.

Swarovski Crystals
Austrian produced, luxury cut crystals.
Since the early 20th century, Swarovski crystal beads have played a key role in designer jewelry and accessories based on complex yet flawless faceting that refracts light and sparkles like no other crystal on the market.

Freshwater Pearls
Pearls are unique as they are the only gems that come from living sea creatures and they do not require any faceting
or polishing to reveal their beauty. Pearls are formed inside mollusks such as oysters and mussels. They are formed
when an irritant such as a bit of sand gets inside the mollusks shell. The process of building a single pearl can take up
to eight years. Freshwater pearls are a natural material so slight variations in size and appearance may occur.

Natural Gemstones
A Natural Gemstone is a mineral in cut and polished form.

Jewelers Wire
Our beaded bracelet designs are strung on extremely strong Professional Jewelers Wire.

Hand Stamped Jewelry
Hand stamping is a technique where text is impressed into metal using steel stamping tools and a hammer.
Please note that hand placed stamps are not always perfectly aligned and add to the whimsical one-of-a-kind nature of these items.
